Can you guys believe that it is already March? I feel like it's been only two weeks since the new year and, we're already in the third month of it. Kinda crazy to think about. Today, I wanted to do a review post about this famous mascara that claims to be better than sex. I have rather unique opinions about it so, let's get right into it, shall we?
Too Faced's Better Than Sex Mascara in black (travel size).
First of all, this is a volumizing mascara that promises to give curves to your lashes. That being said, this mascara is incredible at what it does. It will definitely give you stunning volume and I feel like it also gives a little bit of length, too. It also separates your lashes to give the illusion of a fuller lash and makes them look very fluttery and flirty. I think that the look this achieves to give your eyes is very unique and stunning. I appreciate the fact that Too Faced does not experiment on animals and that their products are top notch. Also, this formula is so black; it's super gratifying.

I picked the travel size for numerous reasons: (1)it's hella expensive, (2)it takes me a while to finish a mascara considering I have like two more in my drawer that I am working very hard to finish, (3)the packaging is cuter and more compact, and (4)it is my first time trying it so I wanted to see how it would work on me before committing to a full-size version.
Here's where it goes down, though.
This mascara clumps and flakes like crazy. There hasn't been a day since I started wearing this that I don't have tiny black flecks of mascara on my cheeks and under-eye area. Also, because it flakes so much, tiny pieces can get inside your eyes and make them water (this is especially bad if you wear contacts, like me). The mascara stings by the end of the day and it makes me wish I could remove all my makeup (which is very sad considering it is so expensive).
Now, I know some people love this mascara and rave about it like crazy. That is why I consider to say that you might not dislike this mascara as much as I do. I think the best thing you can do, before you buy any version of it, is dropping by a beauty counter (say Macy's or Sephora, wherever you want), trying it out and see how it reacts to you by the end of the day. It's kinda gross, I get it, but that's the best recommendation I can give you. Perhaps this mascara reacts differently depending on the environment you are in, or the type of lifestyle you lead (which can affect your makeup's durability, to be honest).
